Catherine Betts
Catherine’s early passion for sport led her to compete in soccer, track, and basketball. After earning a degree in Exercise and Sports Sciences and playing Division I and semi-professional soccer, she trained elite NBA, NFL, and U.S. National Soccer Team athletes and was an early TRX employee. Today, she combines strength, mobility, and recovery strategies to help clients feel capable, resilient, and ready for mountain life.

Catherine is the owner of The Shire Studio and lives in Glenshire with her husband and two young children. Her whole-person coaching combines strength training, mobility, nervous-system awareness, and intentional recovery. She helps clients balance challenging workouts with the restoration their bodies need to stay active, reduce burnout, and build lifelong health and resilience.

Michelle Rahlves
Michelle brings more than a decade of movement expertise and a background as a Physical Therapist Assistant. She opened her first Barre Effect–Pilates studio in 2010 and works with competitive athletes and everyday movers alike, using precise movement corrections and a strong mind-body connection.

Ingrid Stutzman
A former gymnast with a bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Ingrid holds professional certifications through NASM, ACSM, TRX, and Pilates Mat and Reformer. Her sessions emphasize strength with control, mobility, muscle sculpting, injury prevention, and whole-body movement. Ingrid is available for private reformer sessions.
Ingrid’s love for fitness began at an early age as a gymnast and grew to include skiing, dance, yoga, and stand-up paddleboarding. After receiving her bachelor’s degree in Nutrition from Drexel University in 2001, she earned professional personal-fitness certifications through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, the American College of Sports Medicine, and TRX.
She studied under Elizabeth Larkam at the San Francisco Bay Club and became certified in Pilates Mat and Reformer. Ingrid emphasizes stretching with strength and control, muscle sculpting, injury prevention, and whole-body movement. As a mom of two, she enjoys time with family and friends and hiking with her dogs.

Sunil Rebeiro
Sunil is an ACSM-certified Wellness and Strength & Conditioning Coach with more than 25 years of experience. He has coached professional athletes, older adults managing metabolic disorders, and nearly everyone in between, making fitness accessible and appropriately challenging at every level.
Sunil is a Wellness and Strength & Conditioning Coach certified through the American College of Sports Medicine, with more than 25 years of experience. He has worked with professional athletes, older adults managing metabolic disorders, and nearly everyone in between.
In addition to his ACSM certification, Sunil has held certifications in Yoga, Indoor Cycling, TRX, Weight Training, and numerous group-exercise formats. He believes fitness should be accessible and appropriately challenging for every ability. Sunil has also designed and licensed multi-modal group programs for studios and corporate clients and mentored fitness professionals through his wellness consulting firm.

Emily has studied yoga for more than 20 years and taught for 18. Her alignment-based Hatha classes draw from Iyengar, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Anusara traditions and often include somatic movement, breathwork, and meditation.

A student of yoga for more than 20 years and a teacher for 18, Emily has trained in Hatha, Iyengar, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Anusara traditions. Her alignment-based Hatha classes may include somatic movement, pranayama, and meditation. She is also trained in therapeutics, pre/postnatal, and restorative yoga.

Ashley Anderson
A former level-nine gymnast and competitive cheerleader, Ashley brings deep experience and an encouraging spirit to special youth pop-ups. Kids programming is offered on select dates rather than as a weekly class.

Ashley grew up in New Hampshire and moved to Tahoe in 2012. Now a mom of two young boys in Truckee, she loves movement and spends much of her free time outdoors with her family.
Ashley began gymnastics at age three and competed through level nine before focusing on cheerleading. Her experience includes middle-school, high-school, and all-star competition as well as coaching. She brings that experience and enthusiasm to youth programs designed to inspire the next generation of athletes.

Heather Tjalma
Heather’s theater and dance background spans Afrobeats, hip-hop, dancehall, barre, and Pilates. She believes movement supports creative expression, connection, and mental health; her dance offerings appear as special pop-ups.

Heather comes from a theater-arts background and has explored many genres of dance. Along the way, she cross-trained in Barre and Pilates and developed a movement style full of energy, creativity, and fun.
She weaves Afrobeats, hip-hop, dancehall, and her own personal flair into classes that generate joy from the inside out. Heather believes group fitness makes space for creative expression, connection, mental well-being, and a welcoming community. Sweat. Smile. Repeat.

Staci Curtis
Staci has taught movement for nearly 18 years and holds 200- and 300-hour Yoga Alliance training, along with experience in Reiki, coaching, TRX, cardio, strength, and dance. She brings adventure, creativity, and an empowering spirit to her classes.

Staci grew up in a small Northern California mountain town and now calls Tahoe–Truckee home. Movement has always been central to her life, from competitive dance and college dance study to yoga, strength, and outdoor adventure.
She earned an associate degree in dance, completed a 200-hour Yoga Alliance training in Truckee and a 300-hour Holistic Yoga Therapy training in Rishikesh, India. Her additional studies include Reiki, process coaching, TRX, RIPPED, and Thai massage. Gyöngyi is a seasoned sound healer with more than 15 years of experience. Born in Romania with Hungarian roots, her global journey led to training with metal singing bowls in Austria and certifications in sound healing, Reiki, Emotion Code, and AromaTouch.
She completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in India and blends sound and essential oils into her Lake Tahoe offerings. Gyöngyi has trained more than 50 sound healers and shared her work at festivals, retreats, and women’s circles. She is also a spiritual life coach and a Level 3 PSIA cross-country ski instructor.

Britney combines studies in Exercise Physiology and Ayurveda with 650 hours of massage training. Her integrated approach includes deep tissue, prenatal, acupressure, myofascial release, cupping, warm stones, sports massage, and energy techniques.
