Bar Effect

Led & created by Michelle Rahlves and Ingrid Stutzman The Bar Effect is a total body workout that lifts your booty, tones your thighs, legs, arms & flattens those Abs.

Utilizing the bar to perform small isometric movements set to music, The Bar Effect is the fastest, most effective, yet non-invasive way to change your body. Students see results very fast. The Bar Effect is intelligent exercise. The technique protects your joints as it does not involve any bouncing or jumping.

Created with an Orthopedic background, each strength section of the workout is followed by a stretching section in order to elongate, lean muscle without bulk. It defies gravity by tapering everything in and lifting it up. The workout requires such focus that you block “life” out for the 55 minutes, allowing you to obtain the mental benefits achieved in yoga and pilates. The Bar Effect has amazing results in assisting with the rehabilitation of simple injuries to clients with spinal cord injuries.

Yoga

Each instructor is bringing their unique style and education to their classes. All of our yoga classes welcome all levels!

Yoga Flow- A well-rounded class incorporating hatha and vinyasa yoga, in which focus is developed through the detail-work of individual poses, but string together in a flow style sequence set to the backdrop of the ancient but relevant science of ayurveda (knowledge of life). Expect to learn, stretch, strengthen, and condition while developing a deeper sense of overall awareness. All levels are welcome!

Candlelight Yoga- Led by Tanya Fuller- Candlelit Yoga and Reiki is a unique class designed for those who are looking for a deeper level of relaxation and grounding. Yoga Align & FLow This class focuses on the shapes of the postures, principles of alignment, utilizing the breath, lines of energy, and the language of the practice. Expect a creative, energetic, mixed-level class that integrates the fundamentals of yoga through intelligent sequencing and a steady breath. It includes breakdowns of arm balances and inversions, allowing for exploration within each pose. Appropriate for all levels.

Restorative Yoga- This gentle class promotes relaxation and a sense of groundedness. You can expect gentle movement and stretching. We'll use props to make the body comfortable so we can release tension. We'll also explore a variety of meditation, breath work, and mindfulness techniques. All levels of practice are welcome.

Pilates

Pumped Up Pilates & Mat Pilates : These class are led & created by Michelle Rahlves and Ingrid Stutzman. Pilates is a method of strengthening, lengthening and properly aligning the bones and muscles of the body.

Mat Pilates borrows from disciplines such as dance, yoga and classic calisthenics. The standard Pilates system of exercise uses many different pieces of equipment, such as the reformer, cadillac and barrel. But, the mat Pilates series of exercise is performed equipment-free, with the moves adapted to work with just your body and a floor mat for cushioning and support.

Developed in the early 1930’s by Joseph Pilates, it was made popular by the ballet community, primarily in New York City, by a need to rehabilitate the body from the rigorous demands of ballet dancers. Physical therapists realized that it was an excellent way to help rehabilitate patients with injuries in most all of the patients they treated and the method became more widespread.

Through regular practice, the body can become incredibly strong, posture can be corrected, and the overall well-being of the mind and body improved.
