The Shire Studio policies


Shoes, Jackets & other Belongings

We kindly ask you remove your shoes before walking through The Shire Studio. There is a bench upon entering the studio where you can sit down to remove your shoes & hooks in the back closet for all your gear.

For classes where shoes are preferred please make sure they are non-marking and clean.

A lost and found is being added to the back closet for items left behind.

Storm/weather cancellation policy

Because we live in the mountains, hazardous travel conditions may exist. We have policies in place to protect the safety of our instructors and our members.

Heavy storms that affect travel are predicted days before they arrive. If you struggle to leave your residence during these storms, please cancel out of class 24 hours before the start of class time.

We recommend that if there is an impending storm cancel out of class and if by chance can make it to the gym the day of, re-sign up. If a class needs to be canceled to protect our instructors, we will cancel ahead of time to notify everyone in the class via text. Please make sure you have opted into contact with us in the Aquity Software so we can notify you.

Cancellation Policy
We kindly ask if you are unable to attend a group class to please cancel within 12 hours. Group class clients will be charged the full fee for the missed class, and your class credit will be deducted from your package as if you attended. Emergency situations and illness will be handled on a case-by-case basis accordingly. 

We are a small local business and no-shows/late cancels deeply affect our business, our instructors, and also other members that are on the waitlist. You can cancel out the same way you registered for a class, click the cancel button in your account in Aquity. Cancel from your account in Aquity, we do not accept cancellations from voicemail, email, or text.

Please note unlimited memberships will not be charged for missed classes, however, we still kindly ask that you please cancel your class within 24 hours if you will be unable to attend.

Refund Policy

We do not allow refunds of any purchase. Our membership packages of 1, 5, 10 & 20 sessions all expire after 6 months. Monthly Memberships are an auto-renewal agreement and will charge the card on file unless canceled. Early termination of an auto-renewal membership will not result in a refund of unused class credits.  

Monthly Membership Policy

All monthly memberships can then be canceled anytime for the following months.

If your monthly membership auto renewal charge fails to go through after 2 attempts your membership and all future appointments will be cancelled automatically.

Class Policy

Class admittance closes 10 minutes after the start of each class. Admittance after the 10-minute grace period will be up to the individual instructor. If there is a waitlist or another client waiting in person for an available spot in your class your spot may be forfeited to the waiting client if you arrive after the 10-minute grace period.

All group classes require 3 people minimum* for the class to run as scheduled. Please always double check your schedule before arriving.

*Group classes without any attendees will be canceled by 9pm the night before for morning classes, and 2 hours prior to class time for afternoon/evening classes.

Age Requirement

Must be 14 years or older for adult group classes. Those under 16 need a parent to sign their liability waiver.

Vaccination/Sick Policy

Please do not attend class while you are sick. In this space we use shared equipment and have populations of clients who are: immune compromised, have autoimmune diseases, pregnant, elderly, and those who cannot become vaccinated against life threatening illnesses for medical reasons.

Safe Space Policy

This business welcomes and accepts all genders, races, body types, orientations, and religions. Hate and prejudice of any form towards your fellow members will not be tolerated and may result in being asked to no longer attend classes/services within our studio or outside events.

Holidays

We plan to stay open for most holidays with reduced schedules depending on our instructors availability. 95% of our instructors are local mom’s, who love adventures and plan time away during school breaks & holidays. We will do our best to keep our usual schedule going, however, we will always encourage an active mountain lifestyle and at times that may mean a class or two gets cancelled bc our instructors are away living it up.
